On Independence Day, 8 September, the reconstructed terminal building of Ohrid’s “St. Paul the Apostle” Airport was officially presented and opened, giving the airport a modern appearance, complemented by mosaics inspired by Ohrid’s cultural heritage and replicas of frescoes from the Church of “St. Sophia”. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Mr Aleksandar Nikoloski, stated that the reconstruction represents an important step towards the development of the Ohrid region and the improvement of passenger services and facilities.
